Hi! I am a PhD student at Oregon State University in the Intelligent and Reliable Autonomous Systems (IRAS) group, advised by Dr. Sandhya Saisubramanian.
My research interests lie in sequential decision making problems with real world applications. Broadly, I am to build systems that are safe and reliable and can inform the decisions of end users. I curently work on model calibration and transfer problems and reinforcement learining, motivated by safety-critical applications to decision making problems in agriculture.
I am also a budding robotist! I recently built robotic system to percieve, localize and manipulate different colored blocks using a Kinova Gen3 7DoF manipulator arm. This system supports real-world hardware evaluation of our lab’s evaluation of model learning and preference learning algorithms.
My research is currently funded by the AgAid Institue.
I’ve been fortunate to have the opportunity to work with interdisciplinary teams in agriculture and computational chemistry. I enjoy working on problems in ML/AI that are motivated by real-world applications, particularly in agriculture and climate. The problem statements that naturally arise in these settings provide an exciting array of challenges from an AI perspective, with the promise of rapid deployment to help end-users.
